Chrysler’s plan is similar to those of Ford and GM. And it could mean an exit for Shadeland and other single-brand dealerships which have etched a deep mark in the American auto industry.

The Energy Office at the Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) has $4 million of federal stimulus money to help. Of this, $1.4 million will go to rebates of up to $4,500 for EVs or plug-in hybrids and $500 for the purchase and installation of EV chargers. At $5,000 a pop, that would cover only 280 buyers. The balance of funds will be from grants to commercial charging-station developers, and DBEDT is in the process of contracting with the successful bidders. The stimulus money must be spent by April 2012, so there’s no time to dawdle. There’s also a federal tax credit for 50 percent of the cost of the charger up to $2,000 for a residence and up to $50,000 for a business installation. Are these incentives sufficient?

Cars will change more dramatically than ever in the next few years, and we will be that much more dependent. They’ll change the way we drive, work and live. They’ll be better transportation, smarter and more dedicated to serving our every wish, and adding new dimensions to our lives. Watch what happens.

Be early at the auto auctions. This is definitely a situation in which the early bird catches the worm. Be at the auctions ahead of the crowd so you can take a close look at and inspect each of the cars that interest you.

3) What is the condition of the boats you are going to sell? Boats with more damages cannot fetch a great deal. Notice the damages closely. Damage and boat value is reversely proportional. So if your boats show more signs of damage then cut down the costs. Operation damages lower down cost more than the surface or design damages. Or else, you can repair the damages as much as possible. If you think few particular parts are not performing well, then consider replacing them with new ones. It does not only help you to get a better deal, but also increase the value of the boats.

Most Americans are thrilled by events in the Middle East despite the consequent rise in gas prices. We can just be thankful that we have comparably-priced hybrid cars and hybrid trucks to buy. It looks as though consumers will be buying those hybrid vehicles.
